  We had been looking to stay in Key West, but the prices were astronomical so close to Canadian spring break, so we ventured out a little further afield, thinking we... read more were compromising. This hotel was no compromise. The rooms were large and decorated tastefully, the washroom was clean and spacious, the beds super comfortable. The grounds had everything you could want, chairs, picnic tables and hammocks. It made it very hard to leave to go to our next destination.

The morning we checked out, one sister commented she felt like she had bites all... read more over and in her hair. After returning home she confirmed they were bedbugs. My other sister,staying in the same room had a few bites the next day. She called the property and talked to a women who exclaimed how they would immediately take care of the problem and thanks for reporting it. She expressed she was horrified. I called today, a month later to follow up and talked to a person who said no one reported any issues with that unit and it must have been some sort of allergy. Well, my sister did report an issue. The conversation ended with me saying I was dissatisfied with his explanation and he telling me to have a nice day.

On the positive side, the beach area is very nice, staff was friendly and helpful and maintenance was being done on the grounds throughout the two days we spent there. But be sure to ask to be in a renovated room, not an older room. Our unit showed some water damage, poor furniture arrangement and rusting appliances. Our unit probably should not have been rented.

But the weather was good and we enjoyed the piece and quiet of their beach.

  Stayed here for one night and enjoyed a clean room and waterfront tranquility in the pool, beach chairs and comfortable hammock. We were pleasantly greeted by the woman at the... read more front desk( who’s name escapes me) and really enjoyed the isolation this place has to offer. We plan on returning.
