  We had been looking to stay in Key West, but the prices were astronomical so close to Canadian spring break, so we ventured out a little further afield, thinking we... read more were compromising. This hotel was no compromise. The rooms were large and decorated tastefully, the washroom was clean and spacious, the beds super comfortable. The grounds had everything you could want, chairs, picnic tables and hammocks. It made it very hard to leave to go to our next destination.

  We stayed 2 nights at the Drop Anchor. We were in room 17, which is a trailer.

It had a queen bed in the bedroom, and a single... read more bed in the living room. It had TV, A/C, a full refrigerator, a small stove and oven, a microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There were 2 chairs, and a table with 4 chairs. The ceiling was a bit low. There were 2 chairs out on the porch.

The bathroom had only a shower, and you had to go through the bathroom to get to/from the bedroom.

That said, the place was kind of neat, in a funky way. It is definitely not your normal motel room.

The lights were out on one side, so maybe there is an electrical problem. I was going to tell management when we checked out, but I forgot to.

There is a bit more parking on the side where the boat ramp is.

The pool was nice, and the staff were friendly.

We would stay here again, but I'm not sure I would want the trailer again. More
